This 28 September 2023 marks the global day of action for access to safe and legal abortion.
We, the Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Women in Africa (SRRWA) of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (the Commission); the African Union Commission’s Women, Gender and Youth Directorate (AUC WGYD), as well the undersigned Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), under the umbrella of the Solidarity for African Women’s Rights (SOAWR) Coalition, reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the realization of women’s rights to access to safe and legal abortion.

Ce 28 septembre 2023 marque la Journée mondiale d’action pour l’accès à un avortement sûr et légal.
Nous, Rapporteure spéciale sur les droits de la femme en Afrique (SRRWA) de la Commission africaine des droits de l’homme et des peuples (la Commission), Direction Femmes, Genre et Jeunesse de la Commission de l’Union africaine (AUC WGYD), ainsi qu’organisations de la société civile (OSC) soussignées, sous l’égide de la Coalition de Solidarité pour les droits des femmes africaines (SOAWR), réaffirmons notre engagement inébranlable en faveur de la réalisation des droits des femmes à l’accès à un avortement sûr et légal.

يصادف 28 سبتمبر 2023 اليوم العالمي للعمل من أجل الوصول إلى الإجهاض الآمن والقانوني. نحن، المقررة الخاصة المعنية بحقوق الم أ رة في أفريقيا التابعة للجنة الأفريقية لحقوق الإنسان والشعوب )اللجنة(، ومديرية الم أ رة والنوع الاجتماعي والشباب بمفوضية الاتحاد الأفريقي، وكذلك منظمات المجتمع المدني الموقعة أدناه، تحت مظلة ائتلاف التضامن من أجل حقوق الم أ رة الأفريقية، نؤكد من جديد الت ا زمنا ال ا رسخ بإعمال حقوق الم أ رة في الحصول على الإجهاض الآمن والقانوني.

Este dia 28 de Setembro de 2023 marca o dia global de acção pelo acesso ao aborto seguro e legal.
Nós, a Relatora Especial sobre os Direitos da Mulher em África (SRRWA) da Comissão Africana dos Direitos Humanos e dos Povos (a Comissão); a Direcção para Mulher, Género e Juventude da Comissão da União Africana (WGYD da CUA), bem como as Organizações da Sociedade Civil (OSC) abaixo assinadas, sob a égide da Coligação de Solidariedade para os Direitos da Mulher Africana (SOAWR), reafirmamos o nosso compromisso inabalável com a realização dos direitos da mulher ao acesso ao aborto seguro e legal.
