We, the Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Women in Africa (SRRWA) of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (the Commission); the African Union Commission’s Women, Gender and Youth Directorate (AUC WGYD), as well the undersigned Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), under the umbrella of the Solidarity for African Women’s Rights (SOAWR) Coalition, reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the realization of women’s rights to access to safe and legal abortion. NGO Forum – 77th Ordinary Session of the ACHPR
The Forum on the Participation of NGOs in the Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR) also known as the NGOs Forum is an advocacy platform established and coordinated by SOAWR Member the African Centre for Democracy and Human Rights Studies to promote advocacy, lobbying, and networking among human rights NGOs and between human rights NGOs and other stakeholders for the promotion and protection of human rights in Africa.
