Well Being Africa (WBA)

Well Being Africa (WBA) is a Non-Profit Organisation established in May 2018 in South Africa by a group of five women aspiring to impact society with their expertise. They identified three key areas of need namely poor health, poverty, and anger of which the most vulnerable are women, children, and girls. Therefore, WBA positions itself to alleviate these challenges through nutrition and nutrition-related services, capacity development and psychosocial support. WBA envisions African communities where people are healthy, empowered and thriving in maximising their potential. Its core values are engrained in integrity, service, empowerment, respect, and teamwork.

WBA commits itself to provide strategic support and services focusing on its three thematic areas as follows:

  1. Nutrition and nutrition-related project implementation, monitoring and evaluation including breastfeeding support, nutrition education, dietary assessment/counselling, and diabetes self-management support.
  2. Implementation of the national and international skills development agenda with particular attention to women and girls.
  3. Psychosocial support and intervention especially among resource-constrained communities including psychological counselling for women and girls in domestic violence, trauma, and substance abuse.
