WOMEN IN LAW AND DEVELOPMENT IN AFRICA (WiLDAF)

Women in Law and Development in Africa (WiLDAF) is a vast pan-African network of non-governmental organisations for the rights of women and individuals created in 1990 with headquarters in Lomé, Togo. It is dedicated to promote and strengthen strategies that link the right to development in order to increase the participation and influence of women at all levels for the emergence of a culture of exercise and respect for women’s rights in Africa. WILDAF brings organisations and individuals who share this goal and who are operational at local, national and regional levels to make it a reality. It is the very first African network specialising in the promotion of women’s rights as an integral part of the development issue.

MISSION: Bring together organisations and individuals using a variety of tools including the law to promote a culture of exercise and respect for women’s rights in Africa.

The Zambia chapter of WiLDAF is a member of the SOAWR Coalition.
