SOAWR welcomes new members to join the Coalition to grow and strengthen the collective potential and power to ensure that African women and girls in all their diversities fully enjoy their rights as articulated in the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa (“the Maputo Protocol”) and that these rights are prioritized by policymakers and decision-makers on the African continent.
Joining SOAWR gives registered members access to various channels and platforms for deeper engagement, capacity enhancement, visibility through SOAWR platforms, and cooperation with other partners and allies working on similar themes or sharing similar challenges. It also ensures the power of solidarity benefits all the members as the shared agenda is accomplished.
The SOAWR Coalition is currently open to new membership applications.

CENTER FOR REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS (CRR)
Founded in 1992, the Center for Reproductive Rights is the recognized global leader in using legal and human rights strategies to secure every woman’s reproductive autonomy and access to healthcare as fundamental human rights. The Center for Reproductive Rights believes that a woman’s ability to exercise her human rights, as well as her equality and status in society, are directly linked to her enjoyment of reproductive rights—without the ability to make decisions about her health and life, a woman cannot enjoy her right to participate in educational institutions, the workplace, or the political sphere.

CENTRE FOR JUSTICE STUDIES AND INNOVATION (CJSI)
The Centre for Justice Studies and Innovations (CJSI) promotes rule of law as an avenue through which justice is delivered to all people in Uganda, particularly the poor and marginalized groups. CJSI believes in giving to all what they are due and making provisions for the poor and marginalized as the viable pathway to equitable economic and social development.

Centre for Rights Education and Awareness (CREAW)
CREAW uses bold, innovative and holistic interventions for the realisation of women’s rights. Our programs have over the years focused on challenging practices that undermine equity, equality and constitutionalism, promoting women’s participation in decision making and deepening the ideology and philosophy of women’s empowerment.
